Built for country that fights back — juniper, lava rock, barbed-wire crossings. A denser ripstop weave trades a little weight for a lot of abrasion resistance, with double-layer reinforcement at the cuff where scree does its worst. Articulated knees, gusseted crotch, and a deep cargo pocket with an internal sleeve that keeps a folded map from folding further.
